“The most rewarding aspect of CrossFit is the community. Everyone has one goal: to become the best version of themselves. It’s really a positive atmosphere and everyone has a place when they walk through the doors.”
Growing up in Northern Michigan, Julie used the great outdoors as her playground. She has always had a passion for high-energy outdoor activities such as running, swimming, backpacking, climbing (rock/ice) & kayaking. Being part of an all state cross-country team paved her future for fitness and teamwork.
Julie first fell in love with coaching as a facilitator, leading outdoor initiatives and experiential education courses at an outdoor adventure school.
Struggling to balance being an athlete while raising two kids, she joined a CrossFit community in 2007 and has never looked back. Coaching since 2015, Julie enjoys helping others realize and achieve their fitness goals.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Design and is also a UX/senior designer at Michigan Ross.
